Contributing to the sustainability of yachting, and the oceans or waterways that sustain it, with our partners Quaynote Communications.

METSTRADE in Amsterdam has released its post show report after its 28^th edition last November, revealing that it continues to grow, and to meet the changing demands of the international leisure marine industry. The show had an intentionally high priority on environmental sustainability, and the report verifies almost 22,000 visitors, with 69% of them decision makers in the maritime world, and 92% of them saying that they intend to visit again. YachtMedia in partnership with Quaynote Communications were delighted to be part of this, and to be able to stage the first international forum on Yacht Recycling ever to be held as part of the METSTRADE events. This was very well attended and kick started fruitful discussions about how to deal with End-of-Life Boats, bringing together many businesses and organisations with a professional interest in the subject and its environmental implications.

We are delighted to confirm that we will be holding a second edition of the conference on 15^th November 2016, once again as part of the METSTRADE week at Amsterdam RAI.

We expect to see further developments in the processes, infrastructure and technology that will drive the future of this important challenge for our industry, and we believe that METSTRADE in Amsterdam will again be the perfect place and time to bring this information to the widest possible audience.

Recognising that we are not only working for the sustainability of the yachting industry, but also for the cleanliness and biodiversity of our seas and waterways, we also plan to dedicate part of the program this year to the concept of ocean conservation, and how to encourage yachtsmen and water sports enthusiasts to play their part in responsibly sustaining the very environment that supports their leisure pursuits.
