European Boating Industry & MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Association conclude a partnership for EU representation
On 19 November 2013, Toby Maclaurin, President of MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Association and Robert Marx, President of European Boating Industry, announced the conclusion of a partnership between their respective associations.
Toby Maclaurin, President of MYBA, said This partnership will enable MYBA to be effectively represented at EU level through European Boating Industry and voice the views and concerns of the superyacht professionals in Europe on a number of EU issues.
Robert Marx, President of European Boating Industry, added We are delighted to start working with MYBA and lend them our support and expertise on EU affairs. The superyacht charter business represents a significant part of the European nautical tourism and it is important that EU rules contribute to facilitating business throughout Europe and especially in the Mediterranean Sea where it concentrates.
European Boating Industry and MYBA will be working together on a number of EU dossiers, such as the EU internal market, taxation, and some environmental, technical & safety matters.
